There are few places in Italy that capture old-world grandeur quite like Miramare Castle in Trieste. Perched above the Gulf of Trieste, this 19th-century residence blends regal architecture with sweeping views of the Adriatic—a backdrop that feels tailor-made for effortless summer style.
Miramare Castle itself feels like stepping back in time. Built for Archduke Ferdinand Maximilian of Austria, the residence overlooks the Adriatic with a quiet majesty. Walking its grand staircases and manicured gardens in linen feels fitting—as if one were echoing the leisure of a bygone aristocracy.
For this visit, I chose to embrace the essence of Italian summer dressing: lightweight linen.
The Look
