Traveling during the summer is great, but trying to stay cool while walking around sunny coastal towns can be a real challenge. After spending some time wandering the streets of Umag, Croatia lately, I’ve found that keeping things simple is the best way to go. You want to be comfortable, but you still want to look put-together.
As you can see, my absolute favorite cheat code for warm weather is a matching linen set.
A light beige, short-sleeve linen shirt with matching shorts. Linen breathes better than anything else, and the natural wrinkles just add to that relaxed vacation vibe.
I throw it on unbuttoned over a plain white t-shirt. It is super easy and comfortable.
To keep it looking a bit nicer than just wearing standard sneakers, I went with beige suede slip-on loafers. They are soft, easy to walk in, and look great with shorts.
Of course, if you are doing a quick getaway, you need a solid bag. This camel, colored leather weekender from Picard Lederwaren has been my go-to.
